The Story Behind True South

Every dream starts somewhere.

For an 11-year-old academy footballer growing up in Portsmouth, football is everything. The early mornings, the training sessions after school, the matches at weekends and the dream of one day walking onto a professional pitch.

But even at 11, he understood something important.

Not every dream happens exactly the way you imagine it.

He loved football and was determined to give it everything he had. But he also started thinking about what would happen if football didn't become his future. What would his Plan B be? What would he do if one day the phone stopped ringing, the trials ended or another player was chosen?

His answer wasn't to give up on the dream.

It was to make sure he had another direction to follow.

That idea became True South.

Born in Portsmouth, True South was created around a simple belief: you don't have to know exactly where you're going to start moving forward, you just need to find your direction.

The compass became the symbol.

It represents football, ambition, travel, adventure and the uncertainty of growing up. Sometimes you head south. Sometimes you take a wrong turn. Sometimes the path changes completely.

But you can always find your direction again.

True South is for anyone chasing a dream while building something for their future. For the footballer who wants to turn professional. The teenager discovering what they're good at. The traveller looking for their next adventure. Or anyone who simply wants to create their own path.

Because having a Plan B doesn't mean you believe Plan A will fail.

It means you're prepared for whatever direction life takes you.

And that's where True South was born, in Portsmouth, from an 11-year-old's football dream and the realisation that the future is bigger than one path.
